Senseless Sheep: Are You One?

You know what really annoys me? People who have blind faith in what “gurus” are telling them. I see it time and time again. Someone reads another person’s opinions on what they should be doing to become successful. The reader refuses to question that person’s authority, or knowledge. They just follow them like sheep.

Look, I don’t care what sites you visit daily, or who you put your trust in. Have the common sense to question and debate everything you’re told. I can’t give you all the answers, and neither can anyone else currently on the internet. When God creates his own “make money online” blog, I’m sure we will all hear about it.

The fact is, most of what you learn from the gurus, isn’t science. For every successful blogger who made it big doing things his/her way, there’s another blogger who made it big, doing the complete opposite.

What exactly am I getting at here?

Remember:

  • some people who claim to have made big money, haven’t made a dime
  • a lot of people who have made big money, got lucky
  • many who make big money, could be making a lot more if they knew how to run their business
  • when giving advice, most do so with a very narrow perspective (for example, most of what works in the “make money online” niche, doesn’t stand a chance in other areas of the web)

Do yourself a favor. Hell, do me a favor, so I’m not shaking my head in disgust. Before you attempt to replicate someone’s strategy, or take every piece of advice as a commandment, use your head.

How many senseless sheep do you come across? Are you one? Maybe we’re all guilty?

Yeah, some people don’t make a dime but they talk big, like they making big money, what the worse one is they claim that they make big money in a short time.. So I never give advice to other if something that don’t work with me….

I believe I am 100% open with my readers, if I am trying to sell them something, I tell them. If I do anything good or bad I tell them that too.

Someone should better write something like ‘Complete idiot’s guide to how to be lucky’ instead :)) maybe I’ll be a senseless sheep then :D

It all comes down to the phrase “Individual results may vary” Take what these so called “Gurus” are using and deal with your own trial and error.

Thanks for the reminder to not keep my head in the sand.

1)I couldn’t stop laughing when I saw the cover image
2)I would totally agree with the point which says most people have been lucky to earn money, while they actually couldn’t have earned that much, I wont mention any names as I dont want to start an e-fight, LOL!

LOL I didn’t notice the picture at first, then I read the comment above. That’s a great sheep picture! Great article by the way.

Hey. Hey. Hold up a moment. So you’re telling me that sheep can actually talk and follow? That’s friggen impressive, if I do say so myself (which I did).

I don’t listen to gurus, because at the end of the day they only want to make themselves money, not you.

    Dwayne.

If we live a life like sheep especially in the Internet marketing, you’ll definitely end up in huge loss not only with regard to MONEY but also with TIME.

I think blogger is unique case so it’s important to read and learn about the whole process and what he/she write might help others but not the only way!

Hereby, I recall that once I read a post regarding money-making and I checked the comments where another blogger money-maker defeated the post from his point of view.
